• Chicago is a rock band that was formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois.
• The band began as a politically charged.
• The band was formed when a group of DePaul University music students began playing a series of late-night jams at clubs on and off campus.
• The band took a new name, Chicago Transit Authority... the band's name was shortened to simply Chicago, when the actual Chicago Transit Authority threatened legal action.
• This song is from my point of view one of the most important rock songs of the '60 & '70, very innovative all musicians playing on a high level.
• Michael Leckebusch the German director of the vid did a good job too.
• The clip gave me some "working - days". The sound was recorded in '69 so I tried to clear some streams gave more bass and treble to them. I changed the bit depth (24bit/48khz), rate (256kbps) and sharpened the pic.
• Sorry to Michael because I re-cut a "drumming scene" by maximising it while hes playing the main role.

A continuación les comparto un "post" que encontré en la red y se llama Beethoven ante el televisor me parece interesante y digno de atender. Incluye un poema cuyo título es Beethoven ante el televisor y dice como sigue:

todos los sones de la naturaleza:
el del mar, el del río, el del viento y la lluvia,
el canto del ruiseñor, el de la oropéndola, el del cuco.
Un día, cantó un ave, y él no oía su canto:
fue la primera señal de alarma.
Luego avanzó implacable la sordera
hasta desembocar en la noche de los sonidos.
Compuso, desde entonces, imaginándolos.
Nunca pudo escuchar su misa en Re,
sus últimos cuartetos, su última sinfonía.

Luis van Beethoven murió en mil ochocientos veintisiete
(es lo que piensan los desinformados),
pero yo lo he visto en el Lincoln Center.

«Pero, ¿precisamente ahora?» le pregunté.
«Yo regreso al hotel. Voy a escuchar
la Novena Sinfonía en el televisor,
la transmiten en directo», contestó.
«¿Me permite que le acompañe?», dije.
Y se encogió de hombros.

Pues aquí acaba todo.
Nos sentamos ante el televisor.
Escuchamos el golpe de la batuta
sobre el atril. Silencio. Y la orquesta rugió.
Entonces, Ludwig van Beethoven
se levantó y apagó el sonido.
Ahora si que el silencio era absoluto.

Canturreaba a veces, levantaba la mano
para indicar la entrada a los timbales
en el scherzo. Lloró con el adagio,
enardeció cuando cantaba el coro
las palabras de Schiller.
Yo nunca podré oír, nadie podrá
lo que él oía. Finalizó el concierto.
Fue entonces cuando se levantó,
y se acercó al televisor,
recuperó el sonido.
las cámaras enfocaban ahora
al público enardecido.
Van Beethoven oía, en mil novecientos noventa,
los aplausos que no podía oír en Viena,
en mil ochocientos veinticuatro.

Nuevo libro de Saramago: Caín.

Detrás de quienes monopolizan las teologías y privilegian lo sagrado haciéndolo intocable, único, superior; vienen aquellos que se levantan enarbolando el estandarte de lo que somos: humanos.

Marx dijo ya una vez que "la religión era el opio del pueblo" y Paine reclamó que "la relación Estado y religión era adultera", por eso nos queda la sin sorpresa al encontrarnos con un libro honesto y arriesgado, inteligente y comprometido... sí, no hay sorpresa frente a la sentencia -que de pronto nos recuerda a Nietzsche: "La muerte es la inventora de Dios” dice José Saramago en su nuevo libro Caín (Alfaguara). E insiste, "la historia de los hombres es la historia de sus desencuentros con dios, ni él nos entiende a nosotros ni nosotros lo entendemos a él".

12:01 PM (1990 film) directed by Jonathan Heap

12:01 PM was first adapted into an Academy Award-nominated ^[2] 1990 short film starring Kurtwood Smith. Directed by Jonathan Heap, it originally aired on the cable television network Showtime in 1990 as part of the Showtime 30-Minute Movie anthology series.

In this version, Kurtwood Smith plays Myron Castleman, an everyman-type who keeps repeating the same hour of his life, from 12:01pm to 1:00pm. The character is fully aware that the time loop is occurring, and nobody else appears to be aware of it. Each time the hour resets, Myron retains his memory (or as the film puts it, his consciousness), and despite his best attempts to understand what is happening, he ultimately realizes that he is entirely helpless to prevent the time bounce. Myron cannot even break the loop by killing himself, as he reappears, alive, at the next iteration; he is trapped in the loop for eternity.

This version has not been released on DVD or VHS in the United States, but 12:01 PM is available on DVD in the UK, collected with seven other short films.
