Vaginolatry

Flanked and held up
by two columns
The door is there

Amazingly alluring
Yet, there isn’t a face
Neither a behind… So,

It’s a sensuous provocation
An uncertainty principle
Where hell and heaven
Were made-up of the same
Flesh and bones: a body…

Despite such a cozy menace
There is no choice but to risk.

...Amazingly alluring...

Note:

I borrow the title from a poem by Peter Viereck. Look for it here:

Viereck, P. (2002). Vaginolatry. The Massachusetts Review, 43(4), 670-675.
